Happy "13"

We have another teenager in the house.....

She finally turned the big "13"

Our Christmas baby is always trying to figure out when the best time is to celebrate her beloved birthday... she thinks it is the pits having a birthday just 3 days before Christmas & so does her mom!

I decided @ the last minute to have a few of her closest friends over for a

"surprise birthday breakfast"

and serve her very favorite... biscuits & gravy!

She got up and got her self ready for the day thinking she was going somewhere with her dad. Little by little a few friends started showing up unexpectedly just to say "hi" & "happy birthday!" Soon when the table was being set & the smell of biscuits & gravy were in the air, she started catching on that maybe there was a celebration going on. I think she was pretty surprised!

I was the waitress.....

They were the customers..

Dad was the rose & balloon guy.....

Grandma is just.... Awesome!

and last but not least we played the gift game - which I think the girls loved!

They were pretty excited about the $20 that was floating around the circle! It was a simple birthday, with not much planning or preparation on my part but, it seemed to turn out great!

We love you Taylor and wish you the happiest 13th birthday ever....

may all your teenage dreams come true!

P.S. if you ever want to pull off a surprise party with 13 year old girls - just have the moms inform the guests just before the party & little to nothing leaks out!
