I love teaching my young women

and am learning right along with them each Sunday. Our lesson yesterday was on Building the Kingdom of God. We talked about all the things we can do, to better help build God's kingdom and the ways we can become more consecrated each day. I made up this hand out for each girl. I love them and I love my calling!

I was touched by this little video on service, by President Monson. I love the words to one of my favorite hymns..... Have I done any good in the world today? What a great question to ask ourselves each night.

How true this is.

I have had a few times in my life where my trials have seemed completely unbearable. I know through personal experience that if I "choose to serve the Lord, this day" my trials seem to suddenly become a blessing. Through the most difficult afflictions I have faced, I have felt an overwhelming feeling of love from my Father in Heaven, if I choose to be obedient to this commandment. I can see things from a different perspective when I serve those around me. I know that through service we will find true happiness. Without it, we are delaying the blessings and love from our Father in Heaven. I absolutely know that, as hard as things seem today, they will be better in the next day, if you choose to serve the Lord, this day. I know this to be true because I have experienced it....both ways. Hopefully we can all be a little better about seeking God's help to overcome complacency and discouragement and find joy in serving him today.
