Arizona Grand 2010

This past week we spent a couple of days at the Arizona Grand Resort, with a bunch of my friends and their kids. This is the second year we have done this and it was so fun! My kids loved it! I always love being around good women, who see the big picture. I love my friends and am thankful for the kind of mothers they are. They have each set an example for me, of what I want to be more like!

Austin & Cooper were at scout camp this week, so they were unable to join us. It was just Tay, Cannon, Sophie and Taylor's friends, Randi and Staci.

What a fun little get away, I am already looking forward to next year!

thoughtful friends

So this morning after the kids were off to school.... I was in my office reading and doing my daily rituals and I got a text from our dear friends, asking if I was going to be home. A few minutes later Angie and Brooke show up at my front door with a note and balloons for Taylor..... Congratulating her on making cheer last night. So thoughtful.
Angie has been a friend of mine since I was 6 years old {she actually used to babysit me}.... So we go w a y back! She has always been a thoughtful friend and I realized this morning that she has passed that trait, right down to her daughter. Brooke is just like her. I am so glad Taylor has good friends who are truly happy for her accomplishments. Thank you Brooke for thinking of Taylor. These little things make my day and I know that Taylor's day will be made as well.

I am t h a n k f u l for good friends!

Blessed...

Yesterday some of my dearest friends & sister took me out for my

belated birthday lunch.....

I have known each of these ladies for most of my life or married life. They have been thru the thick and thin with me and have always stood by my side. I feel so blessed that they are a part of my life and for the example they have set for me.

I wish I had a picture with all of my family ~n~ friends and the many people who have blessed my life in so many ways.
but....
That just isn't possible.

A visit from the BaRnEy'S

It was so fun having the Barney's come see us in Laguna, all of our kids are the same age and they have so much fun together. This particular week, Austin was gone to Highland's football camp so he was not able to be there, which was a bummer.

slumber party with the bArNeY bOyS

We ran into the BARNEY'S @ fashion island one night and I was brave enough to pile all these kids in Scott's truck and have a sleep over @the beach house! Taylor went with Nichole and Kiley to the Marriot and of course had a blast with NO boys! The next morning we had the treat of pillsbury cinnamon rolls, I cooked 4 packs with 5 in each and these guys scarfed them ALL down. GEEZ!!!! I have never been a fan of sleep overs, so this was a BIG deal for my kids, Tay came home the next day & said, "mom, why did you let me have a sleep over?" I guess I just have weak moments more often when I am on vacation.
Thanks for being such great boys for me!

Bronson pooped out first!

Bryson reminds me of his dad when he first wakes up

These boys watched the discovery channel all night

Then of course... the girlies with Emmie - she is so loved by everyone!
