"8 is gReAt"

I can't believe Cannon is 8 years old... when I think of the day he was born, I get very emotional. First of all, his delivery was the only one I went ALL natural with. So, I have some special feelings about him that I can not quite describe. There were a couple of distinct moments right before he was born, that I thought I was going to DIE! Several hours after his beautiful delivery, I had some motherly instincts, that something was not quite right. Unfortunately, I was right! He was a very sick baby with immature lungs that had later collapsed. Needless to say he was touch & go for several days & I didn't know from day to day if he would be coming home. I do not wish that feeling on any mother who just gave birth. It was something that I can hardly think about. So, every birthday these memories flood my mind with emotion & love for Cannon. I am so grateful to a Father in Heaven, who answered a PLEADING prayer & let him stay to be raised by Scott & I. He will always have a very special place in both of our hearts. We always talk about his specialness & the fight he put up to stay here.
He is our "Little Fighter" & we love him for that!
We love you Cannon!
He picked "amazing jake's" for his big 8th birthday celebration - here are some pictures of his special day.

Sophie & I surprised him with balloons & krispie kreme donuts for him to share with all his class mates.
