5th grade is the year they pick a "famous person" and then study that individual for several weeks. This past week was the big presentation night......
Cooper went back & forth with who he would pick to be the luckiest & best candidate.....
After lots of discussion about role models, heroic acts & famous people he came up (all on his own) with the individual he wanted his famous person to be. This particular day he came home pretty annoyed with his teacher, all because the person he picked, she would not let him use.....

Cooper had been to Dennis' funeral earlier in the week & thought he had picked the most famous, role model of all times (which in our eyes, he is) & was completely disturbed as to why this was not an option? After we discussed that his teacher was not so mean & that it was nothing to take personal, he decided....
MITT ROMNEY
would be the next best choice!
(we agreed)
He was so proud to be dressed & looking like "his famous Mitt", who he just knows will be our President someday!
and he is so confident about this...
I loved the innocence in his choices & am proud of his hard work in his presentation.
Cooper was such a cute "Mitt Jr."

He makes a great Mitt! That is so sweet that he wanted to do it on Dennis. HE is such a great kid!
Wow..that is a great project but I think the teacher should've let the kids do it on whoever they feel is a hero in their eyes..Dennis Barney. He did a great job though, you must be so proud.
