This was Taylor's first year she was able to go to EFY (especially for youth). She was lucky enough to go with my little sister and cousin to the Santa Barbara location. It worked out great since we were already in California for the 4th of July. We missed her for the week, but were glad she had so much fun meeting new friends and being spiritually uplifted. She reported back to us that her favorite part of the whole week was the testimony meeting.
I am grateful for the many programs that the church makes available to our youth. We need all the outside help we can get. Especially while trying to guide our teenagers along this path, as they are making decisions that will affect their future so significantly. I believe it takes a village.... That is why I also feel so fortunate my kids have amazing grandparents, aunts, uncles, our friends, leaders and an awesome Bishop. All of these people play such an important role in our kids lives. Even as I write this... I am grateful that Cooper is working with my brother in law today, who I know will do all he can to help, just by talking to him and finding out what's going on in Cooper's life. I really am so very thankful for the team of people that we have who stand by our side.
We missed Taylor so much, that we had to go to the train station to pick the girls up with the whole entourage! Grandma, Grandpa, Lacey and the rest of my crew.

Tracey, I love the programs the church offers to help us moms and dads along our journey of raising children. kaitlyn and haleigh both went to santa barbara a coupld of times and said it was their favorite. haleigh is still friends with people she met at efy including her councelors. what a great experience.
