I am just slightly behind when it comes to keeping up with my blog...
I think I stared at the computer so much during the Christmas season, trying to get all my photo sessions edited and Christmas cards done, that I became quite burnt out! So now I am paying the price, because I have more pictures to blog about and I don't know if I will ever be caught up!
Let's rewind back to the beginning of December and touch on some of the highlights of the season.
The girls had their Christmas piano recital. Sophie was beyond thrilled about playing her Christmas pieces and then Taylor, she was NOT so excited about the fact that she had to be apart of this recital. She has been so busy with cheer, that it hardly leaves much extra time to practice the piano. Needless to say, I don't think she felt very prepared. But, she pulled it off and sounded great! I love to hear my kids play the piano... It is one of my favorite things.

Cooper is still loving the school choir. We all went and listened to the 7th and 8th grade Christmas choir at the junior high. I am so proud of him for stepping out of his box and trying something different. I just hope I can someday convince him that he really needs to try singing in the ward choir at church! That would be a happy day for me.
I always love the Sunday before Christmas! The music is always so beautiful and touching. This year Taylor was asked to speak in sacrament meeting and her message was about our Savior, Jesus Christ and what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. She did a great job. My mom came to church with us and then spent the day baking and relaxing.
Of course, the boys and Scott beat me home from church and were completely undressed when I got home. So they were extremely thankful they didn't have to be apart of another photo session. So... ALL girls, it was!

We had a great time at Tiffany's home, building our ginger bread houses for Family Home Evening! I always look forward to this tradition. I think Tiff and I get more into it than any of the kids! We're pathetic.

I love Christmas decor around my house. My favorite is at night when everyone is in bed, all the lights are off and just the trees and garland are lite up. I love the look of glistening white lights, it has always felt so magical to me.
My favorite tree, is the tree with all my kids homemade ornaments. I love to pull them out of their bins each year and look at their cute pictures and all the things they have made me over the years. They are priceless treasures and I am so glad that I have kept every single one.

Starting December 1st and every day, the rest of the month, I look forward to the Christmas cards that come in the mail. It is one of the highlights of the Christmas season for me. I love to see all my friends and extended family... families! It is so fun to see the changes in each family and get a current update on what everyone is up too.
