Sweet Amanda

This past weekend my beautiful cousin, Amanda McCleve, was in a terrible car accident that suddenly ended her life. Amanda was 31 years old and had a full life ahead of her.  Her family and extended family are shocked and devastated by this tragic accident!

As I have witnessed my aunt, uncle and cousins grieve and try to understand why something so awful had to happen to their sweet daughter and sister, my heart breaks! It hurts to see them in pain, I wish I could take it away.  It is so hard to watch people that you love hurt so badly.  I can hardly stand to watch a mother agonize over the loss of her child.  No matter what her age is.  Life just doesn't seem fair sometimes.

As much as the Plan of Salvation should be a comfort at this time, I'm sure it seems so far away that they will be reunited with their daughter again.  I am grateful for the comfort that God's great plan brings and I pray that Amanda's entire family can lay their heavy burdens upon the Lord and trust His will!  What a difficult time for their family.  My thoughts and prayers are with all those who hurt so badly at this time. Tragedies like this really help me to remember that life is short and I don't want to have too many regrets.  You just never know what tomorrow will bring!

Amanda was in my ward when I was in high school. Love her and her spunky personality. So sorry to hear this. I'll keep you all, especially her parents in my prayers. HUGS!

So sorry to hear about this, I can relate to how they are feeling. It's always hard, but I am thankful for the Plan of Salvation as I know they are too. Praying for you all.

I just heard today about Amanda. I am so sorry for your families loss. My sister lost two sons 6 years ago in a head on collision and it was devistating. Please give Julia and Vick my love and their kids and tell them they will be in my prayers! So will all of the extended family. I'm so thankful for our knowledge. That's what helps us get through these trials in our lifes.

So extremely Sad... Breaks my heart. I can't imagine having my daughter or sister just suddenly gone like that...awful.

I loved what President Monson said that was in the Washington Post today: ‎"Tragedies are not merely opportunities to give Him (God) a fleeting thought, or for momentary insight to His plan for our happiness. Destruction allows us to rebuild our lives in the way He teaches us, and to become something different than we were."

I praying some good may come of this & that their family can receive the peace & comfort that only Heaven can provide.

{This sisters picture of them is so sweet.}

Tracey- so sorry to hear about this, the article was so beautiful--it's hard to understand sometimes why things like this happen--love life, love your family and friends everyday--you just never know when it will be the last time you get to say those precious words "I love you"
