When I was 16 yrs old.... this cute little sister of mine was born and last night she graduated from HIGH SCHOOL! Wow, how life is just passing by so fast. My parents made a move out to Laguna Beach 3 yrs ago and decided to take my little sisters with them. Of course, they have LOVED every minute of this beautiful place and the girls have adjusted so well and made such great friends. The unfortunate part about this is, is that I don't know if we will ever get them back to the desert. The part that has been a total bonus is, the fact that when we come here, I feel partly at home because my family lives here, so it has been a great vacation spot for all of our families.
I want my little sister Lacey to know, how proud I am of her and what an AMAZING example she has set for each of my children! My kids just love her so much and look up to her in so many ways and I am grateful for the good choices she has made for herself. I am proud of her great motivation to do well in school, I have watched her work sooo hard for her straight A's these past few yrs. I can recall that it seemed like every time we would come to visit, she was usually pretty stressed out about her homework or the next test that was coming up. I have NO doubts that this girl will defiantly go far in life. Good luck at BYU, we love you and are so proud of you... CONGRATULATIONS, Lace!

She had a slew of family there supporting her ~ this is all of us waiting for it to begin, thank goodness for the beautiful mountains and the great weather we had to enjoy!

Laguna Beach is a very quaint school - only 200 graduates!

My parents have always joked that when Lace & Ash graduate, that they would be wheeling themselves in, with their wheel chairs or if their lucky, walking in with their canes. This would always upset my little sisters and we (all the older siblings) would all just laugh hysterically. What do you think!?! I think they look pretty darn good for having 20 grandchildren!

This would be Lacey's friend Jordan... or should I say boyfriend - soul mate (they think!) we'll see, he still has to serve a 2 year mission. I actually hope it works for them - we all really like Jordan he is a great catch!

I hate this picture ~ it just shows my age next to her!

Future graduates! Austin 2012 & Taylor 2014 - what is SCARY, is that this will come so fast!

Right after graduation, the whole senior class boarded charter buses & were off to Disneyland til 7 a.m. the next morning! My kids were so jealous - they wanted to know if Highland High would do something like this!?! ummm..... NOT!

thanks for all the pictures. I only wish we could've been there. Looks so fun and she looks so beautiful as always. Where were all the little ones? I hope we will see you at 4th of July. I love reading your blog...
Congrats to Lacey! Seeing these kids graduate makes me feel really old. Lindsey and Lacey were 3 I think when we got married! Have fun with your family! Its so great you can all be there together.
Wow, I just remember her when she was about 7 or 8 years old. She turned out beautiful. My sister Bridgette and I are also 16 years apart. She just graduated last year and is up at BYU close to engagement. Time flies fast.
i totally remember joking about your parents being in wheelchairs at the girls graduations..although we couldn't have gotten the wheelchairs up those stairs..hehe.. that was the prettiest place ever to have a graduation. As lacey gets older i think she looks more and more like you:) It was good to see you guys in laguna this week.
