Fourteen years ago today (almost to the minute) this little baby changed my life FOREVER!
All my dreams came true the day they laid this boy in my arms. I instantly fell in love! I will never forget the look in his eyes when I looked @ him for the first time. I KNEW that we had know each other long before. It was a connection that I cannot quite describe, but one I think about often. Austin is a SPECIAL boy with a tender heart and I know that he was the first born in our family for a reason. I am grateful for the example he has set for the rest of his siblings. I constantly remind him that I KNOW it isn't always easy being the 1st born or the GUINEA PIG, (i can relate to this) but that he CONSTANTLY has an audience! Each one of his brothers and sisters admire and look up to him so much!
Austin is a great kid and I feel so blessed to be his mother. I hope that I don't make to many more mistakes while raising him. The part that really scares me is that I only have 5 years left till he leaves on his mission - my time is running out! We love you Austin and are so proud of you - I have NO doubt that you will go far in life.
14 THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT AUSTIN....
1 ~ great piano player - we love to listen to him play his beautiful pieces
2 ~ loves technology - this is so nice for me
3 ~ smart - math is his favorite subject
4 ~ entrepreneur - it has been so fun watching all the new business ideas he comes up with!
5 ~ works @ cricket - he is always willing to work for his $
6 ~ funny - always entertaining us
7 ~ pretty eyes - he takes after his handsome dad
8 ~ compassionate - very sweet with his cousin Emmie who has special needs
9 ~ great chef - he makes smoothies, crepes, waffles it's ALL pretty good
10 ~ loves to skim & snowboard
11 ~ polite to adults - always good about carrying on a conversation with people
12 ~ loves to box
13 ~ inquisitive - always trying to learn
14 ~ loves politics - he loves the news & wants to talk about the election & current events

It's so strange he is that old! I remember when he was just a baby! They grow up way too fast. It looks like the Laguna trip was heaven and how nice to get to spend so much time with family!

Wow 14! I remember when we lived in Utah (although I was only there for about 5 minutes :->) when you were pregnant with Austin, and we would eat lots tasty snacks. What a handsome young man! Happy birthday Austin!
what an awesome boy! we love him and all your kids. I know what you mean about the first time you held him and looked into his eyes. I felt the same way, how we knew eachother before..it makes me cry just thinking about it. I hope he had a great day and you too. Did you get my Bday text?
