What a wonderful Easter we had this year...
It was so nice to be able to sleep in a bit and enjoy the traditional.... basket finding and egg hunting jazz, before General Conference started. We stuck with our tradition and Scott cooked his delicious, biscuits and gravy for our General Conference breakfast. I don't know how hungry anyone really was after all the candy I kept seeing them consume on an empty stomach. Probably not a very healthy breakfast?!
As always, General Conference was amazing and I enjoyed hearing the sweet words from our dear Prophet and Apostles. They each touched me in a different way and I have enjoyed, so much re-listening to them this past week and learning the things I need to know to be a better wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Technology is a beautiful thing. I love this Gospel and love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am thankful for his atoning sacrifice and for the price that he paid for me and for all mankind. It gives me Hope. Hope to some day or some way, change and perfect myself through him. I am thankful for the Atonement and for the precious gift it is to all of us. Without the Savior, we are nothing. As I have studied the Atonement and understand it better, Easter has become my favorite holiday! I hope with all my heart, that we conveyed and stressed to our children the importance of who we are celebrating and what he did for us, instead of all the fluff we get wrapped up in below.....?!

Austin was not to stoked on getting his picture taken

Sophie and Cannon were infatuated with their bunnies that pooped out jelly beans! I think that was the highlight in their baskets.

I think we all got a kick out of it

Scott's job is the video camera

After they were done enjoying their baskets, we started the egg hunt...

and the girls were our golden egg winners this year!

I hosted dinner for most of my family later in the afternoon and all the cousins enjoyed their Easter egg hunt (For some reason I did not get any pictures of the hunt) We relaxed and enjoyed each others company and had a great day.

I Love my family!
