family pictures...

We had our family pictures taken last week and I was certainly glad to get that over with!

Why are family pictures always so stressful?

I uploaded them a week ago, edited one picture and haven't opened that folder again until tonight. Life has just been busy.....

or I'm just subconsciously avoiding them because I wasn't very happy with the way they turned out when I first looked at them?! As I started going through them again tonight, I found some cute ones of our kids that will work for what I want to do.

I love this of Cannon and Piper:

And this of the girls:

Now I need to finish the rest...

Isn't one of the main beliefs in your church "modesty"? Especially in youth girls? I'm not trying to judge, just seriously wondering how you can let your beautiful young teen daughter wear such short, revealing shorts. In family pictures no less.

Adorable pictures Tracey! I can't wait to see all the rest of them. I am laughing at the rude comment above. How much more judgemental can you be? Have the guts to at least write your name anonymous! They obviously don't know you very well! I wouldn't have ever noticed that and now that I am looking at it I know her shorts are up a little bit because of the way she is sitting. Beautiful girls!!!

Dear anonymous,

It is quite apparent you don't know who this girl is or her mother. That being said, you should probably not creep on other people's blogs. I have no need to be defensive because those who really know her understand the kind of person she is. Have a good day anonymous!

Sincerely,
Lacey Victoria McCleve

It is clear to me that you MUST know the Simas family. Otherwise you would have the courage to write your name on your comment. Anyone who leaves a comment without their name, is a coward. I was actually on the photo shoot and will tell you that Taylors shorts were mid length and very appropriate for her age. If you have ever worn shorts, you would know that when you sit down, they hike up! Taylor is a beautiful girl inside and out. I know first hand that her mother has taught her and her sister to dress modestly and to live the values they have been taught. These sweet girls do just that! I am so sorry that this sweet picture offended you. You must have a lot of time on your hands to be stalking someone you apparently don't know. I hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Dear Anonymous ~
NO. The main beliefs of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are not centered around modesty. Our beliefs are centered around our Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God... Who was perfect! Christ atoned for our sins and wants us to keep His commandments. We are here to over come our weakness' and to endure adversity that is placed in our path, to help us grow and become all that we can become. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to Him again someday and we can, through Christ atoning sacrifice. That is what the Gospel is all about. I am sorry if you feel that I am not living within the guide lines of my church. I am not perfect and make mistakes daily, but thankfully, I have a forgiving Father in Heaven who loves me and knows my intentions and helps me along the way. Thank you for your concern for my sweet daughter.
Love ~ Tracey

P.S. Thank you Nichole, Lacey and Tiffany. I love you.

WOW! You have got to love when someone "WHO IS NOT TRYING TO JUDGE" totally JUDGES you and gets it TOTALLY wrong!!!

Anyone who is rude enough to say something like that to a mother (a wonderful mother by the way) should have the COURAGE to at least state their name with that comment... it's sad that we live in a world now where people feel that they can sit at their computers and type whatever pops into their brain and hide behind the label of "Anonymous".

Tracey your girls are always dressed in such a way that they are examples to my girls, and I'm proud to have you as a friend and as someone who I can look to for advice on being a mother. Don't let someone's ignorance make you feel bad... chances are they were just waiting to be able to say something negative to you.

And To Anonymous- I took that picture and positioned Taylor like that, there is nothing "revealing" about the way she is sitting and her shorts are fine.

I would say something like "Get a Hobby"...
But "I'm not trying to be rude."

Brush it off Trace! Your the bomb! :)

anonymous,
i would just like you to know, as my mom already said.... that our church is not based around modesty. im sorry you dont think i am modest but i try the hardest to be. thank you so much you actually taught me a very important lesson on modesty just by commenting. you taught me how much people notice how mormons dress, and how people try and pick things out, just to find something to argue about. it is very clear as all of the other people said that i am modest in the picture above and it is just the way i am sitting that makes it look like my shorts are "immodest".
again i am sorry you feel they are. thanks for your concern. you have taught me a great lesson!!
love,
taylor

Unbelievable! Obviously miss "anonymous" has been waiting for the day to unlash her jealousy! I for one have a 10 year old daughter that looks up to Taylor, and I am so thankful there are girls out there like Taylor to be examples to my daughters! You are a great mom Tracey!
