I love General Conference!
What an inspiring weekend. We received wonderful instruction from our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson and His Apostles and other church leaders. I couldn't pick a favorite talk from this conference, there were several that felt like they were written just for me!
Here are just a few that stood out to me and really got my attention:
Elder Richard G. Scott (second session, Saturday afternoon)
I love this talk on faith and how it molds our character.
Elder Larry R. Lawrence (second session, Sunday afternoon)
This is a great talk for parents who are raising teenagers. Having 3 in our home... my ears were perked and I was listening attentively. I loved everything he said.
I love his analogy of staining a wood floor and how he painted himself into a corner and couldn't get out. Great talk.

What a great weekend. I was spiritually fed and am feeling rejuvenated again. I love this time of year and am so glad it is finally cooling off....

A couple of photos of our kids watching conference. It looks like Taylor was taking some serious notes on her phone.... not! I will just pretend like that is what was going on in this picture! Sophie and Cannon did really good taking notes. By the last hour of the second session they were pretty much done sitting and being quiet! Cooper being Cooper... and no pictures of Austin.
My favorite things about this weekend:
- watching my boys thatch and over seed our yard with their dad
- hanging out at our good friends house with my little kids, while Scott and the boys went to the priesthood session.
- staying in my jammie's until 3:30 Sunday afternoon
- sleeping in
- eating our traditional, Sunday morning biscuits -n- gravy
- baking cookies with my kids
- watching our little kids take notes and fill out their conference packets
- Putting up the rest of the Halloween decor with my cute helper, Sophie!
