Homecoming 2010

Last weekend was Highland's Homecoming....

and Austin's first formal dance!

It is so weird to have kids this age. I feel like it was yesterday that I was 16 and going to my first high school dance. Sadly, I still feel like a teenager some days.... I can't believe how time flies and how quickly they grow from a cute little baby and into a handsome man!

I love this group of kids and am grateful that Austin is so fortunate to be around such good kids.

These posers are always up to something funny... they went and purchased some sweet cuff links with their intials engraved in them and wore them for the dance. It's a little cheesy if you ask me, but I love that they don't really care!

We had ten couples meet at our house to take pictures and to eat dinner.



Between myself and the all the boys moms, we put on a yummy dinner for them and they ate right here on our back patio.



One of my favorite things about the whole evening, is that my little sister was asked by one of Austin's good friends and was able to be apart of Austin's group. My parents and I have been talking about Austin and Ashlyn double dating since they were tiny babies... and the day finally came! These two have a great relationship. They act like brother and sister and always have so much fun together.

It was fun having Grandma and Grandpa McCleve there and my other siblings, that I didn't get pictures of. Ugh.

And thanks for all the outside help I had from the other mothers and my husband who did everything I asked of him.... all day! I wish I had pictures of all who helped.

It was a great time for us... I just hope all these kids had as much fun!
