"YES" on marriage

I loved these pictures of my parents. They emailed them to me and what I loved more was what they wrote under each picture.....

Dad with the Stake President of Laguna stake.....October 23 - this is what we did on your Dad's birthday this morning. Fighting for the cause.... Protect Our Families, our dear grandchildren and great grandchildren.

No... we did not have to walk the plains, we just had to stand in this gorgeous weather and stand for TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS... ( not such a hard job after all)
We will stand and defend... even if we get bad signals of disapproval!!

My parents live in Southern Cali and Scott's are in Northern Cali - They are both heavily involved in the Prop 8 campaign. What great examples of following what we have been commanded to do - even if we are not accepted in our society! I talked to my dad today on the phone and they are STILL out defending - handing out door hangers to people's houses who have not voted. Any of you who have not had the chance to get to the polls... make this a priority - we need your votes. Scott went @ 5:30 a.m. this morning and he called me @ 6:00 and I went and jumped in line with him. We are for sure getting on the permanent early ballot form. We are so lucky to live in a country where we have the right to make a difference.
Vote Yes on 102 & 8

I am anxiously waiting for the results of these propositions. They are such important causes and I feel like those who believe in it put a great amount effort to stand up for it and will continue to do so whatever the outcome is.

Your parents are so awesome by the way! It takes a lot to fight it in California. My brother in-law went door to door talking to people.

they are amazing, seriously everytime i called them these past two months and i mean almost every single time they were out fighting for prop 8. i felt so useless sitting in here utah, but i was at the phone booths here getting students to register for absentee ballots. i wish i could have been in california with them!! nevertheless, WE WON!!!!!!! Our prayers were answered, it is a miracle
