"Our Thankful Day"

Here are a few things that the
Simas Family
are grateful for this Thanksgiving....

Last Monday night we had our FHE on
GRATITUDE
I had each child write down their top ten things
they are thankful for...

Sophie: pasta - gospel - the color PINK - christmas lights - her prayers
Cannon: wii - family - food - Jesus - Heavenly Father - Jace - x box - body
Cooper: priesthood - atonement - freedom - missionaries - family - food - education - love
Taylor: Prophet - parents - leaders - Jesus - gospel - friends - food - house
Austin : piano - football - computer - gospel - air conditioning - butter braids - family - wii
Tracey: healthy body - vitamins - camera - advil - husband & children - gospel & Savior - lap top - parents & siblings - self help books - gardening - ensign - KIM!
Scott: good reading material - family - parents - atonement & gospel - cricket - health - spa - to live in the USA - home - food - car - friends

My list could go on & on! I have so many wonderful things to be thankful for, especially @ this time of year. We have been blessed beyond measure. I just hope I can do "my part" in showing gratitude for the many blessings that I have been given.

BEWARE: there are quite a few pictures

It is tradition here @ the Simas Ranch to have the
"Turkey Bowl"
here on my in laws property. Typically the same crowd come out and enjoy playing flag football.

Here are a few of the spectators cheering these boys on ..... Aunt Michele, Taylor & Grandma Glenda

Time out for a snack & water break!

Is this not just beautiful country? This is what my in laws get to look @ from their back windows everyday - it is breath taking!

This is the "REAL" fall here!

After the game was over, Grandpa Simas gathered the cousins & some friends around for some races... notice the only adult that wanted to participate was my husband!

Notice in this picture below: the cousins fort! They have spent many hours in this thing - I am so grateful for the many memories my kids will have from their Grandparents ranch!

After everyone was gone, Grandpa put Cooper & Cannon in charge of gathering all the cones & chairs to bring back up to the garage. They were of course excited about this because they had an extra chance to drive the MULE. I was watching from a distance to see how this interaction was going to play out between the two of them. Cannon drove Cooper to each cone and he sat there while Cooper loaded everything. I was listening to them exchanging words of why Cannon did not need to get out & help. Cooper was a pretty good sport about doing all the loading himself.

I don't know why but this stacking job definitely got my attention as they approached the house. Good job Coop - I couldn't believe nothing fell out!

This kind of stuff makes me crazy... why does this stacking job bother my brain so bad?

Miss T helping Grandma w/ the gravy!

Sophie was really into the facts about how this little guy was really alive. She had a lot of questions about where the head was and... you get the point! Put it this way - she wouldn't even take a bite of her turkey.

Cooper & Sam playing a little B ball in the drive way

These 3 cousins are all the same age and have such a great time when they get together - it has been so much fun watching them grow up together!

Games are always interesting when you have such a competitive family

Grandma Glenda, Nana & Scott

Nana (Scott's grandma) is 89 now & she has lived on the Simas' property for many years now - ever since Scott was a little boy. She is such a sweet kind person and it just breaks my heart to see her regressing each time we come out. My mother in law is a saint and takes such great care of her mother! I could only hope that my girls will take care of me this way.
Thank you Glenda for the wonderful Thanksgiving feast you are an amazing cook!
