Since Cooper was at scout camp and away from us on his birthday this year, we have been doing some celebrating this week!
On Monday night, we did our family dinner.... where the birthday person gets to choose their favorite restaurant.
Outback was Cooper's choice this year!
He was pretty excited when he opened his present from Scott and I. We finally opened up a bank account for him and he now has his own debit card. (he has been asking us to do this for 3 1/2 years now) We put some money in his account and are hoping he learns that it is more fun to watch your bank account grow, instead of watching the $ amount decrease!
Uncle Jason and aunt Tiff gave him money to add to his account... he was stoked!
We had great time with my family and love to spend time with them!
Instead of a birthday party, Cooper decided a trip to the lake with a few friends would be just as good or better! I wasn't complaining. Scott took the afternoon off and we headed to the lake. We had a great time watching these boys change from inner tube to inner tube and fight and wrestle each other off!
I was just relieved that nobody ended up hurt.
I guess it is that mom in me, that made me so nervous!

I don't know how they could not have been sore the next day.... they were on these tubes for a minimum of two hours straight!
We were lucky enough to have our nephew Christian here from California, so he was able to come along
Everyone waked boarded
and tried over and over again to jump the wake
We had a great time with all these cute boys... You gotta love the deacon age!
And last, but not least....
For the majority of the time it was just Scott and I on the boat. So, I had lots of time to play with my camera and capture some shots of my handsome hubby.

We had a great time with Cooper and his buddies at the lake. He has good friends and as a mom, I am sooo thankful for that!

Cute lake pictures! I love Coop.... he continually makes me smile! Missed him today, it's not the same without him!!!
Looks super fun. YOu guys are great parents. Good idea with the debit card. I 'm sure he will learn so much about money. The pictures are amazing and you are super creative with your shots. I like how I can see a reflection of you in Scott's glasses.
