Cannon's birthday celebration

Cannon decided he didn't want a big birthday party this year. He informed us several times that he would rather us put our money into an i~pod touch, rather than a big shindig. And, that's what we did! His birthday fell on a Sunday this year, so we sort of made it a weekend celebration for him. It started with Friday nights sleep over at Grandma Bella's house. He took piper over with him to stay the night and it sounded like they had a great time. Saturday started out with breakfast at i~hop and then a trip to sports authority, with Grandma all to himself. He spent the majority of the day with her and was so happy to find out his Saturday chores were already done for him. Saturday afternoon we took him and a few of his friends to laser tag and out to his favorite restaurant, Ah~So. Cooper, Sophie and Ava joined us and we had a great time.

Ah ~ So is one of our families all time favorite restaurants. We usually always try and get our favorite cook, Jay. He's the best!

He is so great about making it fun for the kids ~ they love him.

Their favorite part is catching the shrimp in their mouth. Cannon takes after his dad and catches it every time and I am loving Bryson's face in this picture below!

We have 8:00 a.m. church, so he was pretty anxious to open his gifts by the time we all got home....He couldn't wait to get this party started!

He was so thrilled to finally have that i ~ touch in his hand

And, thanks to my mom for making him his favorite german chocolate cake,
it was divine.

Cannon sure does love his Grandma Bella, when he stays the night with her they stay up late, watch movies and eat lots of sugar. The rules at Grandmas house are pretty laid back compared to home.

Taylor went over to Grandmas after church and helped her with his cake, she is becoming our little betty crocker.

I told him he could pick whatever he wanted for his special birthday dinner... anything! He picked pizza at aunt Tiff's. So we spent the rest of our Sunday over at Tiffany and Jason's. We watched the super bowl, ate some pizza and finished off with some yummy german chocolate birthday cake! It was a great day. Thanks Checks for having us over again.

We love our Can Man.... he is so spic and span
{this is a rhyme Scott came up with when Cannon was a baby and he still sings it to him today}

Happy Birthday to our sweet 9 year old boy.... We love you so much!
