rollerblading girl

Yesterday afternoon, Sophie decided she had the desire to learn how to rollerblade. Our cute neighbor girl was there trying to motivate and encourage her from the sidelines. It was so cute. She didn't have the best surface to be learning on, but at least she managed to not break any bones or hurt herself in any way. I was grateful. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt on her hands, knees and bum. She was filthy dirty when she finally came in!

Of course, Piper (AKA: toto) was getting her daily ride from Sophie. I can't decide if she likes this or not?! Some looks are like... help me and other looks make me think she loves it. So who knows? I guess all that matters is, is that Sophie really enjoys giving Pipe her rides.

This time of year is my favorite. Here in the desert, it seems like we will get a week or two of some warm days and all of a sudden, the flowers start to open up and really begin to blossom.

The trees start to bud and grow back their tiny leaves and the kids, they want to be outside constantly. I love this weather. There is something so therapeutic about being outside and in my yard with my kids. Watching everything come back to life is so fascinating to me.
