Today started early....
Because of the Gila Valley Arizona Temple dedication that took place today, our stake had a morning side for all the youth 12-18 years of age. All the youth in the Highland Stake gathered together at the Temple site, where the Gilbert Arizona Temple will be built. As a leader, I was asked to be a driver. Our ward met at the church at 5:45 a.m. and then we drove over as a group to the new Temple site. As I drove up and saw all of these men directing traffic and lots and lots of youth walking into the field, each wearing a white shirt, it was an amazing site to see. The spirit was so strong! I am grateful for leaders who would take the time to put something like this together for our youth. They had big speakers set up in the middle of the field, with music playing, as we were all gathering together as leaders and youth. You could not deny the special feeling that was felt on that sacred ground. It was powerful! We heard the words from our Stake Presidency and my heart was filled with gratitude. As I was listening to our Stake President speak, it made me realize how fortunate our children really are, that they get to watch the different events take place, as the Gilbert Arizona Temple goes up. We are so blessed.
I hauled my camera with me through the field, with the intentions of taking some great pictures of my 3 kids and all my young women.... and what do you know... no battery! So thank goodness for my i Phone, at least I got a couple of shots. I found Taylor through the crowd, but never found Austin and Cooper.

The Gila Valley Temple dedication was awesome.
I had some favorite parts. First was, our cute Prophet, President Monson, I love his wit! He sure has a sense of humor. The kids and I talked all day today, about all the funny things he said, while they put mortar on the cornerstone. My second favorite part was, Elder Holland's talk about forgiveness... I wish I could hear it all again! And third, I loved how President Monson, wings it, meaning... he just talked about different things as they came to him. It came straight from his heart.
I love our Prophet and know he is a man of God.
I know it!
