I always have so many different emotions on Mother's Day....
First, I feel so lucky to have 5 amazing children and feel so honored to be their mom. They probably don't and won't understand how much I truly do love them, until they have babies of their own someday. Second, I consider myself "double blessed" for two beautiful moms in my life, my mother and my mama~seeta. They have both set amazing examples for me and have shown me how to be a mother and how to love and nurture my children. I am grateful for both of them and the influence they have played in my life. Third, is my mother-in-law and what a strong person she is. I owe so much to her, especially for the kind of person Scott is today. She is great example of someone who is always serving so unselfishly.
Yesterday was a great day. I was lucky enough to have my mother get up early and attend 8:00 church with my family and I. Nothing is better for my kids, than to sit in sacrament with Grandma! They love to go through the many, many goods she always has in her purse!
They love her and so do I!

My mama~seeta e-mailed all of us kids, pictures of her Mother's Day over in Laguna Beach. Like always, she was pampered and treated like the "Queen of Her Castle." Breakfast in bed before church

and then they spent their afternoon cooking dinner for her. Thanks girls for taking great care of her, while we are all here in the beautiful desert.

I wanted a picture of me, with ALL my kids. Unfortunately, Cooper was pretty sick and sleeping in his bed and we didn't want to wake him. So this had to do.

I think the highlight of my Mother's Day was listening to Austin speak in sacrament meeting about "the ways his mother has blessed his life." What an honor for a mother on Mother's Day. I felt so much appreciation from him.... what a gift he is to me! I love that kid so much and sometimes feel like I don't deserve to have him as our first born. I have so much to be grateful for, that it just overwhelms me at times.

The next highlight was watching my husband and brother~in~law make dinner for me, my mom and my sister, over at my sisters house. These two chefs, did us up right, it was delicious. Even with no help from the women.
I am grateful for a husband who instills in each of my kids how to serve and honor me. He is always so good to me in that department. He actually told Cooper on Saturday, that if he wanted to have a Mother's Day card for me, he would need to get on his bike and ride up to bashas' and buy one. I love that he makes this a priority in my kids eyes and doesn't just do it all for them, even though that is sometimes the easier route as a parent.

Thanks Tiff for allowing this to go on in your kitchen

Poor Coop was sick and couldn't really enjoy dinner, dessert or even watching the suns play.

He finally woke up and took a picture with me, since he wasn't around after church.
*just a side note: is it just me, or is he looking more and more like me as he gets older?!

This was my Mother's Day gift....
apparently it was a joint effort between my sister... Tiff, Scott and Taylor. Tiff and Taylor organized it and Scott decided what it was going to say. I guess there was some discussion about what they each thought was best and Scott's choice won!
I love it!
but really dislike my sun damaged skin... ugh.

And of course, Mothers Day would not be the same with out my favorite.... roses!

And there is inside meaning, that goes along with Austins gift that he gave me. He did this all on his own, with just a little help from his dad. Now that my kids are getting old enough, it is so nice to see them really care and put so much effort into making holidays special. I love this gift and will keep it forever!
More on this inside meaning, later...

Thank you to a wonderful husband and sweet children for making me feel so special on Mothers Day!
I love you all so much.
