Temple Marriage

The lesson in Young Women's last week was on Temple Marriage....

I loved this lesson and hope I stressed to these girls the importance of what they do today, will affect who their eternal companion will be someday. I tried to help them understand that who their friends are, the choices they make and the goals that they set, will make all the difference of what type of boy they will attract when they are of age to date.

I had so many different ideas for my hand out and finally decided on making them their own little wedding cakes. I put them in these cute white boxes and tied big fake diamond rings (from the $ store) with ribbon. With that, I gave them each a notecard that was labeled {ingredients} on one side and {frosting} on the other side. I had the girls write the qualities that they wanted their future husband to have. On the the "ingredients" side I had them write the must have's and the "frosting" side was where the girls listed the qualities they would like to have (like the outer appearance) the qualities that are not necessary to get to the Temple. I think this will be really fun for them to look back on, down the road.

This lesson is so important and I hope they all got something out of it!?

I know more of what he wants from me, when I attend the Temple regularly. The Temple has been an incredible blessing in my personal life and I am grateful for it.
