When Scott has to leave out of town, our kids really look forward to taking turns being my little bed buddies. Last week this little buddy fell asleep in our bed doing what she does best... her homework or reading. Sophie l o v e s to read and do homework. I really think it is her favorite thing to do. Last month, when we went to her parent teacher conference, her teacher had such great things to say about our "studious girl." She actually asked us if it would be okay if she sent some extra homework home for Sophie to do.... for fun. Soph was beyond thrilled to hear this.
This is what I found when I walked in my room to tuck her in.... the pencil still in position.
She was wiped out

Then yesterday morning {Saturday} I woke up to Sophie's voice talking to someone or something. As I laid in bed, trying to figure out who she was talking to, I realized it had to be her imaginary students. I happened to have my camera and was able to capture her at the end of the hall with her little table {her desk} reading to her students.
I love her imagination.

{I had to throw these next few in as well}
I took these pictures one morning, last spring and they just describe what Sophie does when she is all alone in her bedroom. She would set up all her stuffed animals in front of her bed and she would read out loud to them. It happened pretty regularly in the mornings before she would go to kindergarten. They are not the greatest pictures.... but I think they catch her expressions so well. I am just glad I have them. They are priceless and will remind me of what a unique character and great imagination she has. Scott and I are constantly entertained by her, you never know what she is going to say or do next.

Her favorite book to read was pinkalicious

How cute. That stuffed animal in a row scene looks awfully familiar. We see that at our house quite often too.
Awwww that is so cute! Ash&I used to do that all the time. We loved playing school. That is so cute how much she loves doing homework!!! hopefully that lasts haha
That was so funny! I can't believe she loves homework so much! Lucky you!!!
btw... I told jason about her christmas list and we were laughing so hard!!! You need to post about it!
Tracey: You always do such a good job at posting about all your kids someday they will look back at this and either kill you or praise you for all your effort. Sophie is adorable, and I agree she will probably be a teacher someday, and more than likely be a RS President with her organization skills.
I love that little Soph. What a cute scene you captured with the storytelling.
I love your new banner too! Those pictues are awesome.
Your photos are looking amazing...good skills Tracey
