Cooper decided to run cross country this year to help with his endurance for soccer. He has been pretty busy after school, going from cross country and then home for an hour to eat dinner and off to soccer practice! It has been a little much for me, as far as driving, but especially because we haven't seen him as much as I would like too. I like my kids to be busy, but I'm not sure I like this kind of busy. I am some what glad that it is coming close to an end with cross country meets and practices. What a great sport cross country is. Cooper loved it!
I love this photo of Coop looking for his dad, as he is cheering him on in the stands. He would pace himself through out all the races and then finish strong every time! Way to go Cooper.

Notice the P.E. shirt with his initials:
There is a pretty funny story behind those initials that I have never documented... At the beginning of this school year, Cooper decided he didn't like his name and wanted a change, but never mentioned any of this to his dad or I. So little did we know, Cooper was no longer Cooper at school for the first few weeks. He managed to tell all of his new 7th grade teachers that he goes by his middle name, which is Scott! So that is what they called him for the first few weeks of school... until I started getting emails from several teachers about my son, "Scott." I won't go into all the funny details, but let's just say, I set them all straight... his name is Cooper, not Scott. One Scott Simas is enough for me! lol.
