Tonight was Austin & Taylor's end of the year piano recital & they did a great job! They both had their individual pieces they have been working on but the song I was really impressed by was their duet "Phantom of the Opera"! It was a hit - I will admit that they had some struggles getting a long with each other while learning it, but they pulled it off & it sounded great! It was also a great lesson of PATIENCE (which we need around here)! I am so grateful to have kids that know how to play the piano & actually like it! There was a time, about 2 yrs ago that Austin would bug me every day to quit piano lessons & he will tell anyone today, that he is very glad that we strongly persuaded him to stick with it. He has a great love for the piano & I love listening to him play daily! Taylor has also blossomed with her piano skills & we are still trying to persuade her not to give up. We told each of them, that when they were able to play any hymn out of the hymn book, they could quit, Austin can do that & more, Taylor is close to this goal & I know when she reaches it she will not be sorry. Keep up the good work, you guys are awesome!

Kiley takes from the same piano teacher, so it is so fun to be able to attend these recitals & listen to everyones kids & hear their progression.

I wish I had more pictures of the other families who take from our same piano teacher.

This is Sandy (their teacher) & she is amazing, yet so sweet & the best part about the whole thing, is that she comes to our house for lessons - she rocks!

Hey Tracy - I have been interested in a good piano teacher - is she accepting new students? It's for Will - he seems to love the piano, even though he cannot play - can I get her number from ya?
YAY for piano lessons...That's so awesome that austin and taylor stuck with lessons..they will always be grateful for that! spencer's recital is tomorrow and i got that music note all ready☺
I am so glad that they have stuck with it. I love to listen to them play. I hope that Ava has an interest in it someday. What an awesome talent to have!! Good Job guys! I'm proud of you!
I love to see boys stick with piano, long enough to play hymns. It is just getting them through "I want to quit" stage. My kids are bummed they have to do lessons during the summer.
wish we could have had the same day!!
