So, this is the time where life starts to change..... Yesterday was Taylor's promotion from elementary school to Jr. high school & this morning was Austin's 8th grade promotion to HIGH school! YIKES!!!! Am i ready for these changes? If not, I guess I better tie my knot & hold on tight, cuz it's here! I just hope I have done everything so far, to prepare these kids for life's challenges. I am so grateful that they both have chosen great groups of friends. It is always so fun having them around & watching all the dynamics between Austin & Taylor's friends. Tay & her girl friends seem to start getting very giddy & wanting to be in the basement more, when all of Austin's buddies show up!! It is actually more entertaining than going to the movies. On the flip side, Austin is one of the oldest in his deacon's quorum, so since he has been the President, he has held some meetings on Sunday & swim party's here @ our house so, therefore Tay seems to stay very close to the office & backyard when this is happening. That is what you get when you have 3 kids all 17 months apart in age & the middle one being the girl! So, again I probably should just tie a knot & hold on tight!
Highland Jr. High held their ceremony in the court yard of the school, thankfully it was such a beautiful morning! Today is the beginning to the end..... it is officially summer time, there are kids everywhere!

Receiving his certificate

So proud

Buddies

Thanks for supporting, Uncle J - your awesome

One of Austin's best buddies-(who I couldn't find) so I had to post this picture that Scott took while he was waiting to receive his certificate
We love you, Tyler!

Mr. McNamara was my 8th grade social studies teacher @ Gilbert Jr. high, so Scott was really excited to get a picture of us 3 together - by the way - he was Austin's all time favorite teacher!

His fan club cheering him on!

Friends

Friends

and MORE friends!

Mom & Dad

Sophie loves all of Austin's girl friends & they love her (according to Sophie). On our walk back to the car this morning she says "mom all of Austin's friends love me, every time they see me they say... Sophie your sooo cute"(this of course, is w/total attitude in the voice). I am thinking, we need to have a fhe lesson on humility!? It works out great to send her & Cannon to the basement when they are here, they are my little monitors - who needs cameras w/ these two.

I had to post his 1st day of school picture - August 2007 - it is crazy how much he has changed! He grew 4 3/4' this school year - it feels really strange to look up to your teenage son!

Taylor receiving her certificate of advancement from elementary school
Mr. Martin (Principal) Mr. Alldredge (teacher)

Gotta love dad - who is always taking off work to be there for his kids

Love these girls

We love you Tay!

Here we come Highland Jr. High!!

As I was finishing this post Cooper came in to tell me (with a VERY excited voice) " Oh my gosh mom, Taylor & her friends came running into my classroom today giving me hugs & saying they were going to miss me & mom all my friends kept saying your so lucky Cooper - can I stand by you, so I can get a hug from all those girls and mom, one kid said your sister is so hot Cooper, can I come over to your house, your so lucky Cooper" (i wrote this exactly how he said it to me, w/ no breath). Apparently Tay's friends give Cooper some attention @ school, they are always telling him how cute he is & he has cool hair, etc. etc. At the beginning of the year he was totally bugged by it.... NOT ANYMORE!!!

It makes me so sad that they are growing up soooo fast! Next thing you know, Austin will be filling out his mission papers. Being at your house is better than the movies! And it's only going to get more entertaining! Coop is hilarious!
Hey Tracey!! It was great to hear from you!! Your blog is so cute, I love it!! We ran into your husband at Target earlier today with your two boys and he told us the story about Cooper and Taylor!! I could tell Cooper was pretty embarassed about it! We thought it was hysterical!! Thanks for a great laugh!!
Sounds like you have been so busy with all these graduations..Your kids look so happy and well rounded. YOu are doing such a great job! Keep it up! Have a great summer. We have snow today!!
I can't believe how grown up Austin looks. He has changed so much..turning into quite the handsome young man. Your family is beautiful and I can't believe that your baby is five. WOW. We all better try to stop the hands of the clock now before it gets away from us. Hope you have a great summer.
I cannot believe that is our little baby Austin from the Provo days. I remember when he first laughed in our apartment as Tom was making cookies.
Cole will be happy to hear that he grew that much. Cole is doing everything he possibly can to get on with growing.
I cant believe how much Austin has grown this year, its so sad how quickly they grow. Love your blog, I visit often. -Tricia
ok i could totally picture cooper saying that all in one breath..how cool to have a "hot" sister. funny.. yes and austin looks SO MUCH OLDER!! Funny what "happens" that 8th grade year!
I cant believe how fast the time goes. It is so freaky! The great part about it all is that all our kids are growing up together. Hopefully with them all supporting each other they can make it through the teenage years. Congrats Austin and Taylor. You guys are great kids!
