Yesterday afternoon the neurologist called Tiffany with the MRI results and they were very negative about the picture they painted for Emmie. They say the damage to the brain is very deep and extensive. The frustrating and hard part about the situation was that Jason and our parents weren't there when the news was broken. It was done by a phone call. ugh... Luckily, I was there with a few of our other siblings and their spouses. Thank goodness. Tiff grieved and grieved and we comforted as much as we could! It was so painful to watch. Jason showed up and we knelt and he offered the most beautiful prayer. He asked the Lord for Emmie to please make it clear to us what she wants! We are not going to let the doctors see the picture and paint it for us, we will let Emmie and the Lord decide whether she will stay here in her, "normal Emmie state", or if she is needed on the other side, that we are comforted and understand. We are now waiting for Emmie to wake up and let us know what the plan is. It could take weeks. We are still praying and putting all our trust in our Heavenly Father and his will.
These days seem so dark and my heart just aches for my sister and Jason! I haven't slept for nights and I just want to fix it all so that Tiff can continue to serve her little girl... It brings more happiness than I am sure anyone can even comprehend! When you serve someone around the clock for 8 1/2 years, your love deepens for that person and they become your whole world. Emmie is Tiffany's world!
Please continue to pray for Emmie to heal back to "Emmie" and pray for Tiffany and Jason to continue to be comforted! The Check's are amazing people with huge hearts and would do anything for anyone! I feel helpless like many of you and just know that all we can do is PRAY!!
Thank you for the many phone calls, texts, emails and visits from so many caring people. I just got a text from Jason and he is taking the girls down to see their sister and asks that we hold off on visitors for a while...
I will update as she wakes up!
Love, Tracey

I have been so heart sick every since I left the hospital. I can't stop thinking about Tiff and Jason and what a wonderful life they have given Emmie. They are amazing parents and people in general. I know with Faith and guidance by the spirit they will be able to dig deep and understand the will of the Lord. I love you all! I wish I could do more to help! Please call me and keep me updated! I am available to help with anything anytime! Love you guys!

So sorry Tracey that your family is going through such a dark time. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys and I"ll keep checking in for updates. I'm so sorry you have to see your sister so distraught. She's fortunate to have you and other family members who care so much.
Tracey:
I am continuing to pray for Tiff, Jason and your family. I know your heart is so full right now, but I can tell you when you give it to the Lord on the days when you can't hurt anymore he will take it away.
