Our Sleeping Beauty

Emmie is completely getting off the ventilator this morning. Things are looking good as far as her breathing goes! We have not seen any eyes yet and there is minimal movement. Her blood gases look good and she is urinating on her own. Tiffany is trying her hardest to not panic and is putting every ounce of trust in the Lord! When I am not at the hospital, I am getting a 15 minute update through text or a phone call. (My sister and I are pretty tight like that) We are all on pins and needles waiting to see what we have when this sweet girl decides to wake up! It is so, so scary! To the point that every time I see Tiffany's picture come up on my iPhone, my heart starts to beat fast and I get that throw up feeling in my stomach.... Hoping that it will be good news. I am trusting the Lord, but I think that the natural man still comes through... The FEAR! I keep telling myself, faith is not fear and we need to trust his will... whatever it will be. Faith is a principle that seems so easy but when you have to exercise that faith, it is sometimes hard to understand! Faith goes two ways!
It is so sweet to watch my sister with her cute girl. Emmie loves or should I say, is obsessed with strawberry shortcake.... so Tiff has her lap top in the hospital bed, sitting next to Emmie's ear, playing dvd after dvd trying to get her to respond to strawberry's voice! Anybody that hangs out at Tiff's house for an extended amount of time or rides in her car, knows every word to every strawberry shortcake dvd that was made. Tiffany is dedicated to fulfilling Emmie's whole world in any way she can. She is an amazing example of what a mother should be. I love them both so much and their bond amazes me! I know this will work out, I know it!
Here are some scriptures that are helping Tiffany and Jason understand the state-of-mind required for blessings and miracles to attain.
Jacob 3: 1-2
James 1: 6-8
Moroni 7: 29-30
Thank goodness for the knowledge of this wonderful Gospel and for our Savior, Jesus Christ. We feel comfort at this difficult, painful and scary time! Tiff is up to visitors today, she is hoping Emmie will respond to somebody's voice!
Please keep your prayers coming, they are all we have at this point and they have helped so much! We appreciate you all.
Love, Tracey
P.S. Please excuse my ramblings.... I have alot going on and don't have much time to proof through my writings!
