Heaven's Special Child

Today was an emotional day....
I am emotionally drained and physically exhausted! I am to tired tonight to write about the details of the wonderful day, but wanted to post a copy of the program and the sweetest poem.
I am so proud of Tiffany and Jason and the strength they showed today when they stood and talked about their sweet angel, who blessed our lives in so many ways!
We are grateful for their amazing example!

They gave out these bookmarks with the sweetest poem on the back that read:

~ Heaven’s Special Child ~

A meeting was held quite far from earth.
"It’s time again for another birth,"
Said the Angels to the Lord above,
"This special child will need much love.
Her progress may seem very slow,
And she’ll require extra care
From the folks she meets way down there.
She may not run or talk or play
Her thoughts may seem quite far away,
In many ways she won’t adapt,
And she’ll be known as handicapped.
So let’s be careful where she’s sent
We want her life to be content.
Please, Lord, find the parents who
Will do a special job for you.
They will not realize right away
The leading role they’re asked to play,
But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.
And soon they’ll know the privilege given
In caring for this gift from Heaven,
Their precious charge, so meek and mild
Is Heaven’s very special child!"

I love this poem and cry every time I read it! Now, I am off to bed and hopefully going to get some much needed sleep!
Good night and lots of Love,
Tracey

Tracey, you are amazing. Thank you for sharing this, and at the same time sharing your faith and love of the gospel...and especially of Emmie. She was (and still is) one lucky girl to have such incredible love surrounding her through her whole earthly life. Just want you to know we're thinking of you so much! Love, Shawni

Thank you very much for sharing this. Aunt MaryAnn said everything was beautiful. I hope you don't mind, but I shared this sweet poem on my {inspired} blog. I absolutely love it and knew so many more would. http://aninspiredjourney.blogspot.com/

Thank you for your faith and testimony.
